Turf Replacement Program-$3.00/square foot

Ontario residents and businesses are eligible to receive $3.00/square foot for replacing turf with drought-tolerant plants. Interested residents can visit www.socalwatersmart.com for more information and to apply. The rebate is based on the availability of funding. Please contact 909-395-2614 if you have any questions. Residential Landscape Design Assistance Program

Ontario residents are eligible for free landscape design services. Residents can get a free landscape design of their yard. The program requires a $100 deposit for participation that is fully refundable if the landscape project is significantly completed within 6 months of the design appointment date. FREE Landscape Evaluation

The Chino Basin Water Conservation District offers FREE outdoor water evaluations for customers living or doing business within the Inland Empire Utilities Agency boundaries. Please visit www.cbwcd.org/153/Irrigation-Evaluations or call 909-626-2711 for more information.

Free Workshop-Waterwise Plants for a Beautiful Home Landscape

OMUC will be hosting a Free Landscape Workshop on February 6, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM. The workshop will be held at the Chino Basin Water Conservation District which is located at 4594 San Bernardino Street, Montclair. Participants will learn about drought tolerant plants and creating a beautiful home landscape. Pressure Regulator Valve Program

FREE Smart Controller Upgrade Program available to qualifying Ontario Homeowner

 

The Ontario Municipal Utilities Company is offering a free Residential Landscape Retrofit Program, available to qualifying Ontario Homeowners (Limited Funding Available.)

The Program Provides:

  • Retrofit of the existing irrigation controller/timer with a new "Smart" controller
  • Assistance with programming the "Smart" controller
  • Evaluation of how water is being used at the home, and recommendations for improvement

To Qualify:

  • Resident must have a minimum of 500 square feet of landscaped area and no larger than 87,120 square feet of landscaped area
  • Resident must have a working sprinkler system with a non-weather based irrigation controller
  • Resident must agree to keep in-place and maintain smart controller
