The Ontario Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision involving an on-duty San Bernardino Police Officer. The driver of the vehicle that struck the Officer’s patrol car has been arrested on felony DUI charges. San Bernardino Police Officer, Bryce Hanes, pictured below, was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Fontana where he died from his injuries. The City of Ontario announced a partnership with Nextdoor (www.nextdoor.com), the free, private social network for neighborhoods that builds stronger, safer communities with the help of residents. The integration with Nextdoor will enable the City of Ontario to improve neighborhood safety and communications with Ontario neighborhoods.  Residents and City of Ontario officials will be able to work together to increase safety and strengthen its virtual neighborhood watch.
