The planning department does not have any special review process for room additions to homes. The process is handled through the building plan check process. All room additions MUST meet setback requirements and must be designed to match the materials, style, etc. of the existing house.
If your property is listed on the Historic Resources eligibility list, the plans may need to be reviewed by the Historic Preservation Subcommittee.
