California Historical Resources Inventory Database (CHRID)
In 2004, the City of Ontario received a Governor's Award for the development of a historic resource management system. Since 2004, the City of Ontario has worked in partnership with the State of California to enhance this system and turn it into a user-friendly web-based application. The CHRID incorporates tools for historic preservation staff to enter, view, print, and search for information about local historic resources. The CHRID also includes an interface for the public to search the historic resource database and view data, photos and maps online. Once the City's historic resource data has been entered into the CHRID, it will be available for the public to view online.
