In the early 1990's, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the City of Los Angeles and the City of Ontario approved the Part 150 Noise Compatibility Program (NCP) for Ontario International Airport.  The primary goal of the NCP is to implement noise mitigation efforts (i.e. sound insulation, property acquisition, airport operations and activities, etc.) to reduce aircraft noise in our community and increase land use compatibility in the areas around Ontario International Airport (ONT).  Program funding is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).  Federal funds come from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and LAWA funds come from Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) generated at ONT.  The Program, through the Housing Agency, administers and implements the two primary noise mitigation activities: Residential Sound Insulation and Land Acquisition/Relocation.

Mission Statement

Improving the quality of life in the most noise-impacted neighborhoods while increasing community-airport compatibility through voluntary residential sound insulation and land acquisition.
