About the C.A.R.E.S. Program

The City of Ontario Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Agency has implemented the CARES Exterior Beautification Program (CARES stands for Code Enforcement, Arterial Street Improvement, RE-Leaf Program, Sidewalk Program – Safe Route to School). This innovative program offers residents with opportunities to improve their homes through available grants.

Summary of C.A.R.E.S. Grants

CARES Exterior Beautification Grants (Homeowners and Multi-Family Property Owners/Investors).

This is an exterior improvement grant which assists homeowners and property owners within a given “Focus Area”. Homeowners and property owner tenants must earn an income at or below 120% of the area median income. This grant is utilized for exterior paint and/or installation of frontal landscape. Owners are required to sign CC&Rs which are recorded against the property.
