Join Angela Lloyd as she brings site specific stories to life at the museum using the original artwork from the “Ontario Invitational Art Exhibition.”  Lloyd, who earned her MFA in acting from Florida State, is a teaching artist, storyteller and musician.  She developed original stories specifically for this art exhibition.

With Artists Celebrate El Día de Los Muertos, the Museum of History and Art, Ontario, is providing an array of artwork created by 20 to 30 contemporary artists. Through artistic expression, this exhibition is epitomized by popular trends, life-affirming symbolism and the autumnal tradition of celebrating the lives of those who have passed-on.

 

DIA_Education-Gallery-2008 Día de Los Muertos Family Discovery Day

October 30, 2009 – 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Head out to the museum to celebrate the cultural holiday, Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) in this fun Family Discovery Day program.  This event to include: artist-led workshops, storytelling and hands-on craft stations throughout the museum.  Remember loved-ones and share in this artistic and cultural family event.  For more information call (909) 395-2510.
