PDCA08-001, REVISING ONTARIO MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 9 (DEVELOPMENT CODE), CHAPTER 1 (ZONING AND LAND USE REQUIREMENTS), ARTICLES 4 (GENERAL ADMINISTRATION), 7 (NONCONFORMING USES, STRUCTURES, SITES AND SIGNS), 13 (LAND USE AND REQUIREMENTS), 14 (RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS) AND 22 (PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS (PRD))

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT, FILE NO. PDCA08-001, REVISING ONTARIO MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 9 (DEVELOPMENT CODE), CHAPTER 1 (ZONING AND LAND USE REQUIREMENTS), ARTICLES 4 (GENERAL ADMINISTRATION), 7 (NONCONFORMING USES, STRUCTURES, SITES AND SIGNS), 13 (LAND USE AND REQUIREMENTS), 14 (RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS) AND 22 (PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS (PRD))

RECOMMENDATION:   That the City Council take final action on File No. PDCA08-001 by adopting the attached ordinance.

• Regularly review Ontario’s Municipal Code for negative impacts on business and make appropriate revisions.

FISCAL IMPACT:   None.

BACKGROUND:   At the meeting of December 16, 2008 the City Council introduced the Ordinance to approve File No. PDCA08-001, an Ordinance to approve a Development Code Amendment revising Ontario Municipal Code Title 9 (Development Code), Chapter 1 (Zoning and Land Use Requirements), Articles 4 (General Administration), 7 (Nonconforming Uses, Structures, Sites and Signs), 13 (Land Use and Requirements), 14 (Residential Districts) and 22 (Planned Residential Developments (PRD)).

Staff recommends taking final action on this matter.
