ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF TITLE 2 OF THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS |
RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council take final action to adopt the attached ordinance amending Chapter 2 of Title 2 of the Ontario Municipal Code concerning commissions and boards.

BACKGROUND: On January 6, 2009, the City Council held a public hearing to introduce an ordinance amending Chapter 2 of Title 2 of the Ontario Municipal Code. The general provisions governing the members of commissions, committees and boards are set forth in Chapter 2 of Title 2 of the Ontario Municipal Code. The applicable sections of the Code were last reviewed and amended in April 2002. Since that time, there have been minor inconsistencies in terminology and revisions suggested for inclusion in the Code. The attached ordinance addresses those matters.
