RECOGNIZE ONTARIO HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND

Mayor and Council recognize the Ontario High School Marching Band for winning the State 5A Championship on November 22, 2008. This was the first time the band has competed in the California State Band Championships. Out of the 43 bands competing, the Ontario High School Band had the highest scores in all three categories (Music, Visual (marching), and General Effect). In addition, Drum Major Shirley Herrera was honored with the best drum major award. Dave Berry is the band director.
