Just a few of the many resources we have to help you include:

LIBRARY CATALOG: Our library catalog allows you to search all the materials at both Ovitt Family Community and Colony High Branch libraries, from books, to videos, CDs, or local newspaper articles. You can search from any terminal in the library, as well as from home.

INTERNET: Computer use is free for our library users. All you need is an Ontario City Library card.

Library account balance owed must be less than $10.00 to use computers.Users are given up to 1 hour of Internet time per day.

CD-ROMs: The Library has over 30 educational CD-ROM and Web-based programs available for the use of both adults and children on our public use computers. Business information, tax forms, newspapers, magazine articles and government documents are samples of what can be accessed. Please check with our reference staff to help you find the CD-ROM program that you need.

WORD PROCESSING COMPUTERS: Pre-loaded software includes: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. There is a 15 cents per page charge to print in black & white and a 25 cents per page charge to print in color. The color printer is located on the main level in the Ovitt Family Community Library “Copy Center”.

TYPEWRITERS: The charge is 25 cents per 15 minutes. You can bring your own paper, or it is available at the Reference Desk for five cents per sheet or the Children’s reference desk for 5 cents for 3 sheets. (Ovitt Library only).

PHOTOCOPIERS: The copiers produce single-sided, black and white copies that can be enlarged or reduced. The charge is 15 cents per page. There is a color copier in the Ovitt Library’s copy center (main level), the charge is 25 cents per page.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN: Can't find that certain book, magazine article or document in the library? We can get print material sent to us for your use from over 60,000 libraries in the United States within 2-4 weeks of request. There is a $2.00 service fee. Request forms are available at all public desks at the Ovitt Family Community and Colony High Branch libraries.
