Ovitt Family Community Library

Each month nearly 43,000 Ontario residents enjoy the services of the City's main library facility, the Ovitt  Family Library located at 215 East C Street.

This current facility opened on January 17, 2006, after a total renovation and 15,000 sq. ft. expansion. The public now has access to dozens of electronic workstations, wireless computer access, a large community room, and a Children's Story time room.

The main level of the Library features circulation services, children's services, children's computer lab, new magazines, a young adult area, two study rooms, audio-visual and fiction collections, Library Administration, Friends' book sale corner, and a Café. Page One Café provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, a kid's menu, and a variety of specialty drinks.

The lower level houses adult reference, non-fiction, foreign language materials, newspapers, back issues of magazines and adult educational services. The Robert E. Ellingwood Model Colony History Room is also located on this level. This room contains materials concerning the history of Ontario and the western region of San Bernardino County.
