Operations
The Fire Operations Division of the Ontario Fire Department is responsible for disseminating an annual fire budget of twenty-three million dollars. A total of 130 uniformed personnel, holding the ranks of Battalion Chief, Fire Captain, Fire Engineer and Firefighter, are supervised by the Deputy Chief of Operations.
Our highly-trained teams provide specialized assistance and expertise in the areas of Bomb Squad, Hazardous Materials, Heavy Rescue and Dive. Each team, comprised of suppression employees, is monitored through the Fire Operations Division.
Fire Operations oversees the training and E.M.S. divisions, manpower & personnel, equipment & apparatus acquisition, fire station maintenance, and specifications for firefighters’ personal protective equipment.
